Simply Awesome

It really pains my heart that while the entire rest of the world is ecstatically reveling in World Cup 2006...America goes idly by settling for its boring cadre of bland sporting events...golf, basketball, baseball, etc. Why can't we get with the times and join the world's party. What a shame...

ALSO, be sure to catch these games: Australia vs. Brazil tomorrow and USA vs. Ghana (on Thursday).

Did you watch USA v. Italy today? it was a great game...and I guess I'll forgive McBride for being offsides, but only since he got smacked in the face and bled prior to it. I'm glad I'm not alone in my love for the world cup!

Yeah, what an amazing game. I've never been so excited about a tie. The Americans really played their hearts out. Could you believe the officiating? I heard the announcers say that the ref was suspended a few years back for "irregularities in his officiating"...they said he'll probably never ref another World Cup game. Fine by me; but my thirst for justice would be much more satisfied if a mob of soccer hooligans would rough this guy up on his way home tonight.

Long live the World Cup!!! Hope all is well with you up there in Nashville!
